## Early Life and Education

Rohit Agarwal was born on 21 December 1978 in Allahabad, India, and spent his formative years in Allahabad and Noida.

He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad, from 1997 to 2000, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business and Finance from the same institution from 2000 to 2002. In 2024, he undertook an executive education programme at the Indian Institute of Management Studies, Kolkata, as part of his continued professional learning.

## Banking Career

Rohit began his banking career with ICICI Bank Limited in September 2004, serving as a Branch Manager until September 2009. His responsibilities included branch operations, customer relationship management and business development, giving him a strong foundation in banking services and branch-level business management.

In September 2009, he joined Kotak Mahindra Bank as Branch Head and Associate Vice President. His responsibilities encompassed branch banking, sales, customer relationships and business development. He subsequently served as Vice President from April 2021 to March 2025.

In April 2025, Rohit assumed the position of Regional Sales Manager – North East MP Zone and Senior Vice President, taking on regional sales and business leadership responsibilities. In August 2026, he moved into the role of Area Head – Branch Banking.

Across his tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank, his professional responsibilities have included business acquisition, CASA and deposit mobilisation, investment products, customer acquisition, relationship management, team productivity, branch performance, profitability, service quality and operational processes.
